Busy day in the sunshine

This is my Little House Needle Book. This is now attached to the inside of the needle book. I stitched it over two and did it over the summer.
Meanwhile here is the sampler on the outside of the needle book. I attached it with interfacing. I used a four sided stitch to seal the edges and then fringe to make it look good.
We went of an afternoon ride. The fall colors are coming. We kept looking for vivid reds and bright oranges. We didn't find them. The colors are rather drab and leaves are already falling. The pine needles are coming down and making a new blanket in the forests. It is great to see it.
I had some time this morning. I purchased this quilt kit at the Adirondack Museum earlier this year. I am stitching it all by hand. I have just the outside edges to finish up. It will be a table mat when I am done. So far, so good.
