It doesn't look like much right now - -

On the left are two parts of the scissors fob.  On the right is the beginning of the needle book.  I did receive the missing floss on the other project.  (Remember that one?)  For now I am 'into' this project.  This part has a lot of over one work.  The blue bird is done over one.  So many projects are calling my name.  I have two curtains to work on and a sewing machine organizer mat.  Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Needle Minder done

Always In Stitches.  I used this phrase as I have always liked it.  To explain, I like it as I am usually in stitches because I am doing my cross stitching, quilting, sewing, something with stitches.  Also I like to laugh.  So stitches can represent laughing so hard you get stitches in your side.  This piece will be put over a strip of magnetic material and used to organize needles.  Next up - scissors fob.

Stitching Friends Pocket - - Almost Done.

I am leaving this project for now.  I am ready for cutting and hardanger work.  I plan to move on to the other stitching for the overall project and then return to the cutting and hardanger.  I am thrilled to have this one so close to complete.

Meet the Stitchers

Today I worked on finishing the top and then moved to the lower scene of stitcher's.  I am close to having this done.  Then there is a border and then I will do a tall thin section to cover a magnetic strip.  I have been charting what I want it to say.  The chart says VS Retreat and I am thinking I want to change it to something else.  Perhaps "Always In Stitches" and my name and the year.

Top Half of Stitcher's Heart Pocket

I did get some work done on this today.  I have now moved to the lower half of the project.  It is moving right along.  I did take some time to do some housework.  (Grrr) Other than that I am enjoying and working on my stitching.

VS Tray Update

I started in the middle of the main pocket part.  I am working my way north.  I have one more band to do to reach the top.  It is more over one stitching.  I am hoping to work on that tonight.  Yippee Skippy because I made great progress on this today.  (Never mind all the other things I might have been doing.)  I didn't do the cutting for the hardanger yet as it is best to wait until the whole piece is done.  I am putting on the beads as I go which I don't usually do but what the heck.  I did it.

Gee Golly Gosh - -

Oh Fish Hooks!  I ran out of floss on the Holly & Hearts.  So I ordered some more and just had to find something new to work on.

I have the right edge border left to do.  Like I said - I just had to start something new......

I started the Victoria Sampler Stitcher's Heart Tray project.  I am in the stitcherama in September but I am thinking I might not wait that long to do the finishing on this one.  I want to use the tray.

So Close to being done

I worked very hard on the pink banner at the bottom.  I now have the bottom border and a border on the far right side to do.  Then - Then - Then this one is done.

Holly & Hearts Part 3 progress

I did make some progress.  I am hoping to finish this one soon.  I am being so good to not start the one that I really want to work on.  Today I did take a break and went outside.  It is 75 degrees out there.  The trees have buds on them.  Everything is brown and dirty looking.  We are all eager to see green and colors soon.  I did some raking to clean up out front.  I am glad to have the alphabet part done.  It does look interesting.   I am eager to see how this whole thing looks.

Happy Easter 2014

Part 3 of Holly & Hearts by Lizzie Kate.  I have part of the alphabet done and the house except for the window parts.  I keep working away at it.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter celebrated with family.  It is so important.

Holly & Hearts Part 2 is done!

Part Two is done!  I am moving on to Part Three but I do have to say it is a struggle as I really want to work on my VS Tray project.  I am also busy with the new sewing machine.  Mending is now a breeze and I love it.  I am also making Easter eggs.  I hope to get a photo soon.  So many things are getting done and need to be done.  It is a busy time.  Today I see little sprouts in the ground that just might be my purple tulips.

So Many Projects - - -

I have so many things that I want to work on and so little time to do it all.  I have been trying to keep with this current project.  Lizzie Kate's Holly & Hearts.  This is about half of Part Two.  So I am half way done with this project.  Meanwhile my package arrived from Victoria Sampler The Stitcher's Heart and tray project.  I love, love, love it.  Meanwhile I have some new goodies to do on the fancy embroidery machine.  Easter Eggs!  So many things to work on.  Tomorrow may be a good play day.  Tonight we can expect sleet and snow.  All that after being close to 80 degrees yesterday.

Ahhhh Spring!

Spring has arrived.  The weather is warm.  The snow is melting everywhere and is completely gone from the deck.  The trees are sporting some buds.  My eyes are itching so tree pollens are getting ready to burst out!

I did get some stitching done.  While on my Boston trip, I started this little project.  It is called Love Is.... and was designed by Summer House Stitche Works.  I finished it this morning.  It needs the finishing process but it is ready to go.

Then I moved on and finished up Part One of the Holly and Hearts by Lizzie Kate.  I plan to continue on with part two.  The windows are still open this evening and it smells so nice.  It has been a very long winter and spring is much appreciated.

Welcome Bo!

Welcome Little Bo Patrick!  I have been quiet on the blog lately because I made a trip to Boston to meet the newest member of the family.  He is just 5 weeks old an oh so precious.  I had a great time with my mother in law, my sister in law and my niece.  That little man had all of us running!  It was fun.  Oh I did get some stitching done.  I will post that progress later.

Just outside the condo, we were greeted with the Boston harbor.  Oh it was a very nice day and wonderful to feel the sunshine.  I so wanted to pitch in a tea bag.  LOL.

Stash & Stitching Day

I made progress on the Lizzie Kate Holly & Hearts project.  Part one is coming right along.  Housework interrupted my stitching today but heck it has to get done some time

The mail man brought some stash.  Sweetheart Tree and Shepherds Bush along with scissors.  It is always fun to find packages in the mail box.  It was a cloudy kind of day.  Rain is due tonight.  Spring is here!  Temperatures are getting warmer and the snow is shrinking but it isn't gone yet.  There is a mess of leaves under that snow.  I suppose some spring cleaning might be called for once the snow and mud have gone.

A busy, sunny, wonderful spring day -

Ahh!  Spring has arrived in my neck of the woods.  The snow is slowing going away.  I see more leaves, grass? and other things that have been long hidden in the snow.  It was so warm today.  I did get out and do some things in the garage.  I swept out the sand so I won't continue to track it in the house.  The sand came from the sanded driveway and dragged in by the car.   It felt good to be out in the sunshine and doing anything was a blessing.

I spent most of the day 'in my room'.  I moved things, reorganized and generally tried to make more room.  Then I settled down to do some work on the first applique quilt block.  I had tried before but I made  a mess of it.  So I had to remove all the other stitches and put in new ones.  I saw a demo yesterday with some wonderful tips on how to do it.  So here it is:

He still needs an eye which will be a button.  And I want to finish outlining the design with straight stitch.  It is far from perfect.  I learned a lot with this one.   I will finish it up and display it to remind myself that learning is fun?

I have also been taking some time to work on the cross stitch.  (Do I even remember cross stitch lately?)  The Lizzie Kate Holly and Hearts is moving right along.  The colors are neat!  Not exactly what one might think for Christmas but I like the paler colors.

This is the complete top and left side of the whole (larger) sampler.  It has gone better since I moved on from those trees.  Thank Goodness.

Holly & Hearts Continue

I am disappointed to look at this tonight.  Honest!  I stitched those 5 trees no less than 10 times.  I would stitch 3, see a mistake, remove 2 and stitch three.  Repeat!  ARGH!!!  There is still a mistake but I may leave it.  I moved on to the other things.  I guess I am a bit distracted today.

Craft Room Time & a new start

I spent some time in my room.  I put together the Keepsake box (wooden one) and then I did the needle book and scissors fob for the Red Tulip project.  They fit in the little metal box.  It was fun.  I used my new sewing machine and was very impressed.   I was hoping to find some more time to spend in my room but I had a call and my new software (for the computer connected to the machine) was in and I went to pick it up.  I have a lot of reading and playing to do.

The other day I started a new project.  This is Holly & Hearts Part 1 by Lizzie Kate.  After all the hardanger, I was looking for something with cross stitch.
