Shepherds Bush - Love Is

Love is where you plant it!  I have stitches a green stem/grass line from side to side.  So I have touched two walls in the same day.  This should be a rather quick stitch.  The challenge here will be that the white fabric is rather thin in my opinion.  So there can be no carrying of floss on the back of the piece or it will show through when I do the finishing.  This is all stitched with overdyed flosses.  Hopefully it will come along quickly.

Birds n Bugs Complete

Here is the front cover.  I finished it today while in yet another waiting room.  Then I put it to use so I could start another project.

Here is the inside.  Very cute.  It goes well with the Lizzie Kate Strawberry scissors case that I also like to take along.

Lizzie Kate Birds n Bugs Part 2

Well, I  am making some progress.  I have been working on this at appointments.  I have all the parts in this Vera Bradley box.  It makes it easy to quickly dump it all in and take off for whatever activity is next.  I still have the bird to do and then beads and back stitching.

It is amazing how people smile when they see stitching.  I get smiles and kind remarks. I often get the comment "My mother used to do some of that,"  It makes me laugh.

Lizzie Kate - Birds n Bugs Part I

This is the inside of the stitching roll.  It still needs beads and I am currently working on the outside of this project.  I will admit that it is difficult to keep all your stitches going the same way when you work on a band already attached.

On the medical front, we met with one of the doctors today.  I like him.  A treatment plan is being put together and there is plenty of reason for hope.  Thank you everyone for your prayers and concerns.

Done - ready for finishing

My Victoria Sampler Friendship Sampler Needle roll is stitched!  I finished it today.  I need to do some measuring and then the finishing.  This picture makes it look huge.  It will be a good sized needle roll.

Progress: VS Friendship Needle Roll

I have been working on it.  Yesterday I had to rip out all the rhodes hearts and then put them back in today.  (Centering problem).  The stitching is done down to the bottom.  I have one more band on the top to get through.  It is more frilly flowers.  I also need to do the beads.  Then this one is done.

Everything and the kitchen sink -

Today a new kitchen sink was installed.  Thank you to my sister and her husband, Mike and also to my son and his significant other Linda.  My new sink is so shiny and the faucet is just too cool.  I am very happy with it.  I am supposed to leave it alone for 24 hours while the stuff sets and dries.  I am slowly putting the kitchen back in order.  I did do a little stitching this morning and then I ripped it out this afternoon.  Perhaps there was just too much going on today?

Lots to share!

Someone asked for a photo of the original Victoria Sampler Friendship Sampler.  Here it is.  It hangs in the dining room.  I am currently working on the needle roll that goes with this design.
Big Stash Day!!  I love getting stash packages and it has been quite some time since I had this much show up.  These are the market goodies that I picked out.  What to work on next?  Always a difficult question.  I just want to go play with the package and dream of the finishes.
And I had a finish today.  This is a Bucilla kit.  It is a small design to make into a purse.  Fairy Dust will fill the purse for those times when a bit of fairy dust is necessary to fix something.  I wonder how well fairy dust works on illnesses?

Thank you all for the comments and emails concerning my husband.  We are marching through a number of tests.  We are hoping for good news next week when the doctors pull all the results together and decide how to attack this problem.

Needle roll - - VS

Victoria Sampler's Friendship Sampler.  I actually stitched the sampler many years ago and it hangs in my dining room.  This will be the needle roll.  This is the main part.  It still needs sparkle thread and beads.  There there are some specialty stitch bands.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments and emails.  I feel blessed to have so many people pulling for us.  Patience is a virtue.  I need to find some more patience.  Stitching does help fill the time.  Our weather in the Northeast has turned summer type warm.  It was nice to sit out side and enjoy the wild life while I was stitching today.

Fairy Dust

I found this kit just a few days ago.  It is a little fairy that will be made into a purse to carry your fairy dust.  Cute idea.  Stitched on small adia, which I don't care for.  Then they want three strands of floss plus blending filament which is difficult to pull through the fabric.  It is almost half way done so I want to mark it as done soon.  Perhaps we need some fairy dust here at our house.  MY DH isn't doing well at all.  Bad news that we are still absorbing.  As more and more tests are being done, I am finding it difficult to concentrate on my stitching.  This may cause my frequency of posting here to decline.  If you can spare a prayer or two, they are appreciated.

All Four Seasons!!!!

Here they are.  All four of the series by M Designs.  Seeing them all together has me wondering how the finishing should proceed.

Awesome Autumn is done!

I like the specialty stitches in this design.  The colors are great for autumn.  I need to do some digging and get the four seasons together for a photo.

What to do next?  I am not sure what I will work on next.  I will have to go stash diving to discover something new.

Crows Appeared and apples are ready -

Baby steps were made today.  Thank you for all your prayers and concern for DH and his troubles.  The good news is that we may have an explanation.  Bad news is we need more tests and it will most likely result in surgery.  So many other concerns and worries can now be forgotten while we focus on the latest news.  Perhaps I can finish this one tomorrow.  I have to admit my 'stitching mojo' has been challenged with all this doctor stuff going on.

Tree done, acrons done, basket ready for apples

I did finish the tree leaves.  Then I worked on the border.  The acorns still need back stitching and there are specialty stitches for the apples.  Also there is some over one animals to do.  The border is well on it's way to being complete.  It is certainly coming along.

Just a few leaves

It was a busy day of doctor appointments and phone calls.  DH is still not doing well.  I am not sure how many times we have to say 'that drug is not working' before they agree it is not a good idea.  Perhaps tomorrow will be a better day of communication.  Meanwhile all my appointments went well.  It was a great day for driving with the windows down and the music loud.  I had a great time cruising down the highway.

Now the big tree

It has been a crazy weekend.  My wonderful husband is not feeling too wonderful right now.  I have been worried sick.  It amazes me how much stitching can help.  While I worry and wait, I can make one more stitch, one more row.  Time passes.  I do prefer to have happier thoughts.

Here Comes the squirrel

I have been working right along on Autumn.  Awesome Autumn.  I am looking forward to giving the scarescrow a face and some hands.  I keep running out of the floss color I need so I put it off until I have some extra of those colors.

Scarecrow!!!

Hey, It is a start!!  I have the bottom border almost done.  It still needs some purple.  Then I moved on to the scarecrow.  I wanted to finish him but the straw around his hands over laps the side border.  So back to the border I must go.

Sweet Spring is complete

Sweet Spring is now complete.  It was a rainy spring day which was perfect for working on something colorful.  The little charm is a lady bug on the plaid flower.  I do believe I will have to work on Autumn just because it is the last one I have in this series.  Summer was done years ago.  I will be challenged to find Summer.  I want to finish them as stand ups.

I did spend some time working on my stash list.  Oh My Gosh!!  I have so many things I want to stitch!!  There is not enough time.  I am also dreaming of stash shopping.  I signed up for a festival in Nashua, NH the end of April.  I am waiting to hear if I was able to sign up for the classes I picked out.  I have my fingers crossed.

Bugs and Bees

Look at Me!!!  I am doing some back stitching as I go along.  I don't always do this and I will be very glad I did when I get to the end.

Plaid Flowers?

I made a little bit of progress today.  Plaid Flowers?  Really?  It is cute.  Those are Smyrna stitches in green in the border.  They go rather quickly.

Sweet Spring is coming along

I have been working on the border.   The flower in the lower left is purple.  Now you know why I was drawn to this one.  LOL.

Wild Winter is Done, Here Comes Spring

Wild Winter by M Designs is complete.  I have to admit the colors are a bit crazy but fun for the winter season.  The deer is stitched over one.

Then I jumped right in to start on Sweet Spring by M Designs.  I have already finished Summer years ago.  I will have to get them together and take a photo of all four, once they are all done.  I am thinking of a stand up or an easel.  Somewhere for the mantel that can display the current season.  Stitch first, finish later.  LOL.

A Walk in the sunshine and a bit of stitching.

The sun was just so inviting.  We took a trip to the main part of town and checked out the park.  The snow was melting everywhere.  This time of year the lake if frozen solid - but not today.
The mountains on the other side show a bit of snow still.  It was so pleasant to just walk along the water

And I did stitching.  The border is done.  (Thank Goodness.)  We now have a cabin, mittens and a steaming cup of cocoa.  There is still quite a bit to do. There are two animals stitched over one and a large snowflake.  Then there are lots of smaller snowflakes to do.

Working on the border

While I like the border and will love it when it is done - - working on it is not fun.  I did get the snowman dressed up and two trees done.   My main push now is to finish the border so I can enjoy the middle parts.  The birds are appreciating the feeder since the snow storm hit.  One bird yesterday tried to land on the deck and disappeared into the snow.  Today we cleared a bit so they can land on and around the bird feeder.  I enjoy seeing them as I pass the kitchen window.

Snow Day!!

This the view outside my back porch this morning.  We have had even more snow since.  It was a perfect snow day.  I have been stitching, napping, and just enjoying the day.

Here comes the snowman!!  The outside border continues and has the strange colors.  Now we are working on the snowman part.  It has been fun to work on.  The snowman's face is done with three strands of floss while the rest of the piece is using two strands.
