Spring is coming - -

Hi All,

Spring is coming.  I saw tulips pushing through the soil today.  Trees are budding and the grass and trees look greener.  Temperatures are rising a bit slowly.  The weatherman mentioned snow for tonight.  Grr...

I have been sick with a cold.  I haven't had a cold is a very long time and it was a shock to realize that I was sick.  So it was a weekend of naps and blowing my nose.  I am doing better.  And I have been busy.

This is part of the Chalk series by Hands On Design.  Done and ready for finishing.

Then I picked up a Lizzie Kate kit.  Hip Hop.  Done and ready for finishing.
Now this is a Premin kit.  I will be trashing this one.  I started it last month.  I am just an inch from the end and there is not enough fabric.  I hate the fabric anyway.  I will most likely remove the stitches I put in and use this fabric for book marks and other little things.  I found a piece of Lugana fabric that is perfect and I am working away at it.  This will be a hardanger table runner with violets.

Shame, Shame, Shame

I have been missing in action and ignoring my blog.  I am so sorry.  I have been putting in 5 to 7 hours a day on a model.  (More about that one when it is released.)  It is now done!!  I am happy dancing to have it done.  With any kind of luck, I can get back to a more normal life.

Meanwhile my last model was released.   Xs and Ohs released Little Bo Peep.  Here is the model that I did.

Very cute.  Perhaps a good idea for a birth sampler.  She was also to get beads for her petticoat but I didn't do that part.  Meanwhile - - back to my own stitching.  I am about half way through the lastest Hands On Design Chalk series.  More to come....

The Party

Well, the evening was grand.  It was complete with limo, champagne and a princess wand.  Amazing.  I have been neglecting my blog friends and I want to say I am sorry for that.  Once again I am on a secret stitching mission.  I will say that there is an impossible deadline (March!) to meet and I am working frantically not to bust the deadline too badly.  I inherited this piece which was something strange for me.  Have you ever taken over a project from someone else?  How does one match their tension and technique?  The project is scheduled to appear in a magazine - if I get it done in time.  I will share it with you as soon as I can.  Meanwhile - back to the needles.
