Shades of Gray added

I am finally working with something other than white.  I am using three different shades of gray to outline the archway for the hummingbird trellis.  My husband and I will venture to a new hospital and doctor later this week.  We are looking into trial studies looking for a new treatment for his cancer.  I am not sure what to pack for stitching.  Only another stitcher would understand my problem.  The afghan is big and I do use a lap stand.  What to do? What to do?

During the time that my FIL suffered from Cancer and I spent a lot of time in hospitals, I started a project that was easy to carry, easy to see (light conditions do differ a lot), not too complicated and not too many colors. In my case I chose somethigng my FIL loved too.
I don't think the afghan would do you any good. You most likely will sit in waiting rooms, next to his bed etc etc, and something smaller would be way easy. Why not start something new?

Hi Taffy,
I'll keep you and your husband in my mind.
I'm sure you have many small things in your stash that you can start :-)
Also googled your Hummingbird Afghan to see how it'll look like and it is lovely.
Have a nice day!

I will think of you both as am in the same boat as your husband, my chemo did not work and am being checked out for trials now at new hospital. As a stitcher I would say take something small and as a cancer patient I would say never never give up hope and send you lots of love.
