Roses are oh so pretty.

Cold, cold, cold.  Our weather has been brutal this week.  On the other hand,  I know that there are parts of the country with tons of snow, black ice and other nasty things going on.  So our cold along with a dusting of snow are tolerable.  The lake has frozen so the Winter Carnival can go on as planned.  Let the ice fishing and other activities begin.  I am staying home warm and safe with my afghan.  I am so happy to report that the flowers in the upper left side of this block are done  I am move on to structure stitching tomorrow.

Your afghan is beautiful. I have a mountain scene one to start and I think it says to use 3 strands of floss if not more. Do you actually use that much or do you go with the normal 2 strands as on most cross stitched pieces?

I use two strands, loop start and long tails to finish off. I have a whole list of afghan tips and tricks if anyone is interested. Email me at taffystreasures@yahoo.com and I will share.

My husband was hospitalized today for his cancer and it might take me some time to answer or get back to people but I will as time permits.
