Hurry up and wait -

Hurricane Irene is coming to my house. We are expecting strong (50 - 70 mph) winds and 5 to 8 inches of rain in the next 24 hours. Today we prepared the outside for the bad weather. I stitched in between moving chairs, putting away stuff and worrying about the weather. Hopefully all will be well. If I miss a day or two, it could be a power outage. We have a brand new generator that has passed all it's tests. However this will be the 'big test'. For now we are just waiting for the storm to arrive. Everyone, please stay safe. I will check in again when I can.

I wish you all the best and I hope that it will not become so bad.
This morning when I woke up, I knew it was night in USA and the storm arrived. We follow the news here in Germany hoping the best for all of you.
We still have a lot of rain, but there are now also sunny days between. Yesterday I was in the woods and I think it will be a very good year for mushrooms because of the weather. I could smell it in the air.

My stitching is slowly but constant.I love to stitch, I could not live without it.
In three weeks, there will be "needle and thread" exhibition in Osnabrück, like every year. It is the years highlight for stitchers. I can´t wait to go there.

I think of you, Taffy.
Liebe Grüße von Anja
