Where does the time go?

Hello to all my dear followers.  I am so, so sorry that I haven't been posting.  I have been stitching, as you can see.  I have 'touched a wall' as the section on the left goes all the way to the bottom of the design.  Stitching is still a struggle.  I want to stitch.  I want to stitch for entire day but that is just not happening.  Tomorrow will mark 4 weeks since I lost my best friend and it still hurts a tremendous amount.  Hardly a day goes by that I don't get struck with tears and anguish.  That horrible day seems so long ago and it seems like it was just yesterday.  So much has happened.  I am making strides.  I am getting things done.  One positive note is that I signed up for a stitching retreat in October with Thea Duck.  I am thrilled and October seems so far away.  I am sure it will get here quick enough.  Today as the snow, sleet and ice are coming down, it is hard to believe that spring is here and summer is coming.  Fall seems like an impossibility!

Taffy, I am sorry that you are having a rough time of it. But you will get through it. It is so hard when we lose someone we love. Maybe you should pick a stitching project that you know he would have liked and work on it as a tribute to him. Or do you think that it is too soon for that? Although 4 weeks really isn't that long to be grieving. Take as long as you need to. There is no set amount of time to grieve for our loved ones. Just know that although I do not always respond, that I do miss your posts with all of the stitching and even the wildlife pics. And you are in my thoughts.

Taffy my heart goes out to you. Do you realize what awesome strength it is that you are getting out of bed each day and functioning as much as you are? Grief is a long process, it takes time. you are doing the right thing and doing what you need to do for yourself at the pace you need to. You will get there. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Love and hugs :)
