Showers of Fun and another block is finished

The card shower has been a big success.  32 cards so far.  Yes, that is Jack taking a little nap at the side.  We had so many cards that they no longer fit on the mantle.  So I took ribbon and made streamers to staple the cards to.  It makes it look so fun!

Oh, my little friend stopped to say Hi this morning on his way to the neighbor's house for breakfast.  He stared at me and I stared at him with a camera.  The neighbor feeds 23 turkeys and about 6 deer every day.  We get to enjoy seeing all the wild life.

Here is block number 7 all done.  I think it is time to work on something else.  I need to go do some stash diving.  Who knows what will be next.

Here is the afghan on the floor so you can get a bit of an idea of the size and the amount done.  I think it is 9 blocks done out of 30.  It is a good start.

Wow-that is some project. Glad you are doing it and not me! Jack looks very comfy in his chair-he's a duplicate of what I do in it :)

I am keeping him in my thoughts.

The afghan is so pretty. I'm about to start an afghan myself. Do you have a photo of the pattern and what it will look like in the end?

I'm sorry to hear about your Jack. Cancer is an awful thing to not only go through, but to live through. My thoughts are with you.

This afghan is so beautiful but a real BAP. But I can imagine that it's a lot of fun to stitch it and to see it grow.

Looks like Jack is comfortable resting there and has some nice cards to look at. Just put another in the mail for Valentine's Day. Keeping you both in my prayers.
