The Lake Gives me Solace

I was able to spend a bit of time lately at the lake. I lost my best friend and sister just a few weeks ago. Jayne loved the lake. Jayne visited the lake at every opportunity. I will miss my sister so much it hurts. I fear this event will take some extra time to process and handle. This photo was taken at one of our favorite places. I know my sister would absolutely love it. Jayne, if you are listening, I miss you so much it hurts.

I hope to resume my blog posts to a more regular basis soon. Pardon me if it takes me a bit of time to get back into my routine.

She hears you, and there's no doubt in my mind that a trip to Lake George was first on her 'to-do' list after she began her latest adventure. She likely has followed that up with trips to all of her favorite places across America - I know she had many. She was not my friend for a very long time...a few years only, but I recognize what a special friend she was and how lucky I was to have known her. I am a bit surprised at how often I think of her and how much I truly will miss her. Aunt Jayne always made me smile, and thanks to the story she shared with me about the orange hair, she always will. She would have LOVED the deer picture!

And I also think that before the snow flies again she will have knitted wing-warmers for all the angels in heaven!!!

Taffy, please accept my condolences. Losing your sister and best friend will take time to adjust to. Your internet friends will still be here. Let your heart heal. You're in my prayers.
