The West Coast
I thought of my sister when I was stitching this. She lived in California for about 30 years. I am enjoying this stitch. I love the experiment with the overdyed colors and the way they show up when stitched just so.
The overdyes do look great - the trunk of the tree looks particularly well shaded. The starkness of the white stands out well upon the fabric. Looking forward to watching your progress
Your West Coast looks very nice, this is such a pretty piece.
Just discovered your blog and have admired (drooled) over alot of your projects...I love the Prairie Schooler patriotic charts stitched with overdyed threads, would you be willing to share the conversions you used? :) Kim
