This is the border for a Americana Ornament. I am working with a Prairie Schooler chart. It has several different designs that come from early America. I didn't follow the chart instructions to use DMC floss. Instead I used Sampler threads which with the overdyed colors gives this a new look.

You know, the more I see Americana stuff, the more I like it. I don't have any Americana things about my house - no eagles, no flags, no red,white and blue...but I'm liking the cross stitched versions quite a lot. I can't wait to see this as you make progress.
