A new Trellis and some progress

My son worked this morning on building the trellis for the new flowers. It is ready to do.  I really hope it grows great.  I am trying to avoid touching it or even talking to it.  I have such a black thumb when it comes to plants.  I am very proud of my son and his wonderful wood working abilities.  It will be a happy Mother's Day here.

I did get some stitching done.  I have had a bit of a melt down over the last 24 hours.  What starts a crying jag?  What triggers the sobbing, the heart ache and the total sense of loss?  I am not sure how it starts but I am sure it happens and it is hard to climb out of.  A prayer was answered when a friend, that I don't hear from very often, called just as I was trying to climb out of that hole.  I cried at first but soon she had me laughing and talking stitching and many other happy things.  I am truly blessed.

Spring! Happy Mother's Day Early! Progress with swans

I love the yellow bushes.  (Yes, I know I should know their names but.....)
In the fore ground is my new deck.  That project is now on hold while my son's knee heals.  He gave it a terrible wrenching last week and has been wearing a brace that is helping but he is still taking it easy,

Happy Mother's Day.  The photo makes the flower look blue but really they are purple.  The plan is to remove a dying tree from the front garden.  A new trellis will go up and these little beauties will grow and cover it.  Cross your fingers..... my thumbs have never been accused of being very green.

Swans!  Today the four sided stitch block was completed with the swans.  I am so close to being done with part two - - in fact I am working on part three charts to finish the right side of this one.

Part 2 is almost done!

I am done with the large daisies.  I am done with the house and the birds on top.  I have the date done.  I am now working on the outline of four sided stitch that will surround the swans.   Part 2 is almost done!!!  Perhaps tomorrow.  Today was a beautiful sunny day.  I was able to stitch most of the afternoon.  We had a lovely grilled steak with potatoes and squash on the grill.  It was great.  The weather man says that the rain is coming.  We really do need some so I guess it is a good thing.  The trees are filling in and I can no longer see my one neighbor.  Good bye until late September or October.....

Better Day with some stitching

I am closing in on getting Part Two done on this Blue Ribbon Design Blue Jeans and Daisies project.  Thank you to all that wrote with supportive comments and concerns.  I am doing okay.  This stage of my life is the toughest I have ever had to encounter.  I do fine some times. I do okay most of the time.  Then there are days....  I suppose it is all normal.  I am stitching whenever I can.  I am trying to reorganize my house.  I am also reading some books.  I keep busy.  Today it was paperwork (my new hobby) time and then some shopping.  I hope to stay home tomorrow and do some stitching.

It was a day!

I did get some stitching done.  The weather has turned nicer.  A bit cool but nice.  It was also a day to remember and cry.  Tears make for difficult stitching.  I suppose this is all part of it.  I just wish I could turn back the hands of time.  I miss my best friend.  I am feeling a bit lost.

IT IS HERE!!! MY CHAIR!

Today my new craft room chair arrived.  I spent most of the day stitching in there and I have a finish to report.  The chair looks great in that room.  Most men that have seen it have the same comment.  "You won't catch me sitting in it."  That is just fine with me.  Here it is:

I worked on the scissors case for the Nordic Needle hardanger project.  I finished the scissors case and now I have the chart for the biscornu.  I am not sure when I will get to that project.  Meanwhile ----

Beautiful day and a bit of progress

Pot Pot took a few moments out of his busy work schedule to help Landon play on the tractor.  They had quite the time driving around.

Our latest home improvement project.  The deck is going to be replaced with fancy Trex materials.  I am so excited.

I did some work on the stitching.  I actually tried to take a break today to let my sore muscles relax.  The craft room is better.  Some windows have been washed.  Yesterday the entertainment center held my attention  I am hoping to get some serious stitch time in soon.  Tomorrow the new chair arrives for my craft room.  Yippee Skippy!!!  Should be fun.
