Ready for Halloween

Here it is!!!! I just love the tiny little stitches. I think a black cord type necklace to put this on.

Wicked

This is by Primitive Stitches. It is stitched one over one on 30 count. It is sized to fit into a tin that will be a necklace. It is fun. Stitching over one takes a bit of practice, but it is fun.

Welcome to the Bird Cage

Here it is done and done. Purple ribbon and pink cording. This is the front.
This is the back of the project book. It says "Scissors and pin and needles that shine. Helping to make these stitches so fine."
Now for the goodies. It came with a little bird counting needle that is stuck in the top part. Below there is a needle slide, a blue bird thread winder, and scissors with a sheath.

Bird Cage

This is a design by Just Nan. It is a limited edition project available only at Silver Needle. There is a whole story about how the birds (chicks) got together and have a party. This is the front before I put the beads on.
This is the inside piece. The final project will be a sewing tote type thing. It will hold needles, needle case, scissors, and a thread winder.

A Stash package arrived

This photo doesn't do this one justice. It is the last humbug from Just Nan and it has such yummy fall colors.
Oh my gosh, this looks horrible but trust me the fabric will really make this one POP.

A drum roll please - - it's done.

Here is the whole thing. Blue Ribbon Designs - Patriotic Sampler.
This is the flowers for the basket which was the last part of this project that I worked on.

A Tisket, A Tasket, we have a basket

The basket is done. Now on to the flowers. Oh, the double border is already stitched also.

Not a lot of fun - -

This striped bar was difficult to stitch. I kept all three colors working all the time. I was very happy to see the end of this part.

Two more parts of the envelope

This will be the top flap on the back. You can't see it very well. I tried to do a specialty stitch. The base of the stitch was done in white. There are then looping stitches wrapped around the base stitching and these were done with a blue and purple threads. I am not totally pleased with this part. I must put on my thinking cap and do something else.
This is the bottom of the back of the envelope. Obviously I am stitching this for a fellow stitcher so scissors and the heart fob seem to blend in with the theme.

I think of this as a cameo - -

This is the 'cameo' front of the envelope. The needle and threads are they to share our love of stitching. Seeing this particular fabric has proven to be a major challenge for me. Even with a white cloth behind it, good light and a magnifier I was having troubles. I hope it doesn't show.

It's a beginning - -

I need to get a mail art ready to go. I started this on the front of the navy blue pyramid edge banding. I also broke my one project at a time rule. I just needed to get this started, so I did.

We have a shade tree of hearts

We need shade here in St. Louis. We are still in a heat emergency. It is hot, hot, hot out there.

A house with a star.

Well, the next section is a bit bigger. Here is the first house. Meanwhile I might be absent for a bit. I am buried under paperwork. ARgh.... Some days I don't even touch a needle. There is something seriously wrong with that!

The Eagle is here!!!

I am not sure I love the head detail. I might have to change that a bit to actually look like an eye with a beak.

Part of an eagle - -

I didn't get as much done as I might have liked. Some days there just isn't enough time!!!!

Blue of the Red, White and Blue

This also marks that I 'touched the wall' on the right side of the project. Yippee!!!!!

Christmas in July?

This was a Christmas Grab Bag from Needlework Corner. Fabric, Lizzie Kate, floss, a dragon ornament, Blackbird Designs and one has fabric, and more ornaments. Not bad at all.

Then we have a small Wicked project that will fit in a small tin necklace, another ornament and beads for an upcoming project. I might have to steal myself away from the Blue Ribbon Patriotic project and do that Wicked necklace before fall gets here.

A Sailing we will go - -

Well, we now have some sail boats. This and the block block are on the lower edge of the project. I have touched three walls now!!!

Blue Ribbon Stash

I love these colors...... I am not sure when I will work on this one but I do love the colors.

We have stars and cherries - -

I did get a bit more done. I love these blocked patterns as I feel like I am getting stuff done as I finish each section. Heads Up: I have been stitching models for Prairie Grove Peddler. I understand that the two charts will be released this week. When they are, I can share some of my own photos. Hint: Fall and Christmas are coming..... LOL

Checkerboard Parts

Each little square will be outlined and stars added with bright gold. This little squares got very boring and I am glad to have them done.

A bit of craziness....

I have a friend at the pool that is turning 80 years old this month. Her family gave her a surprise birthday party just yesterday. My friend, Celeste, has been teasing me for two years about decorating a noodle for her. I found some plastic cord, bright beads and an Hawaiian lei. I took the lei apart and strung the flowers in with the beads. I then wrapped the string to the noodle. Later I added a string of purple jingle bells and a rear view mirror. Celeste was thrilled with her noodle. I am sure I will see it at the pool tomorrow morning. Just looking at the noodle makes me laugh.
