Easter on parade

This was a kit from Praiseworthy Stitches. I have to say the kit was not impressive. This is the needle book/case and it barely fits on the fabric. There are specialty stitches and I do enjoy doing some of them but this project is difficult with fabric too small. I have a fob and pin cushion to do as well.

Brother Butch has been busy!

These are more threaders. They all have magnets in the base. The group on the left are LoRan threaders and the three on the right are wire threaders. I use my threaders every day and highly recommend them. I have prices and shipping plans if you are interested. Just email me at taffystreasures@yahoo.com

A Sneak Peak

Well, I am about a month behind on posting my stitching. My current project is a Stoney Creek Spring Street Scene. I am stitching it on 25 count over one. That is a quarter1!! This will be tiny. It is a lot of work. I decided that I wanted to stitch this with Anchor floss. So first I had to find Anchor floss. I will show the progress on this one and post some of the other things in between. March was a busy month.

Hoppy Easter

This is a Just Nan WhimZi frame and Easter project. This was available at the Nashville market. I love it. Of course the bit of purple didn't stop me at all. LOL.

Needle & Thread Scissors Bed

Here it is all done. The scissors fob was weighted down with a round washer that DH found for me. It was easy to stitch together. I added a blue tassel to the bottom of the fob. The scissors fit under the blanket of the bed. You are to use the pillow as a pin cushion. I found it very interesting design and idea.

LHN Needle & thread part two

This is the two sides of the scissor fob that will go with the scissors bed. All that is left is the final finishing and we all know that doesn't always happen right away.

LHN Blanket is done!

I finished the stitching for the LHN Needle & Thread scissors bed. I like the way it looks. There is a mistake - - can anyone spot it. I am going to leave the mistake in. Oh, this is also before I did the owl's eyes and beak. The chart was missing the instructions but I just did two dark french knots for the eyes and a small orange one for the beak.

LHN Needle and Thread

This is the start of the 'blanket' that will cover the scissors bed. This was a fun thing to stitch.

Eek!!!

This was a St. Charles market exclusive by Lizzie Kate. It was a quick stitch. I am thinking it might be a Halloween ornament.

The Spring Stitcher

I stitched this up one afternoon. She is a Mon ami Pere? design. I would have to look it up. I did this up quick as I had a strange idea as to what to do with it.
You see the idea is to decorate a gift for another stitcher. My gift is a needle threader. It has a magnet in it's base and works great with the tin's lid. Then I made a pink pin cushion to go on top. It also has a magnet in it's base to hold it place. Then I finished up the little lady and put it around the can.

Here she is in all her glory.

February Envelope

I received another hardanger card kit. Of course I had to start working on it.
So here it is. The card is actually a bit yellow that isn't showing up very well. This was a quick stitch.

Lizzie Kate Envelope on it's way

This is the back of the envelope after it was stitched up and ready to go. It has a long voyage and I hope to hear something soon.

This the front of the envelope with the addresses hidden. I this it say 'SPRING'. We need more spring around here and I think it is the same where it is heading.

Envelope Construction continues

These will be butterflies for the upper flap on the back of the envelope. You can see the kite from the front.

An Envelope in progress

This will be front section. The theme of this exchange is Lizzie Kate. I thought a kite was perfect for windy spring days.
On the back is the flowers that will come after the showers. LOL. Oh and I love the lady bug.

A new hardanger card has arrived

I thought for sure the February hardanger card would have some pink for Valentine's Day. It doesn't. It is pastels and very pretty. Can I resist working on it?

Christmas Fob Finish

Here he is. This was a Shepherd's Bush kit from way back when. I love doing these finishes.

A bit of Halloween finishing

This is the back of the ornament. I love the house and it fit in so well.
This is the front. I used a bit of black ric rac around the outside edge. I am trying to get caught up on my finishing.

Ice Cream Shoppe is complete!

This particular project is covered with many, many beads. I was puzzled by how to handle the beads. I ended up taking the three bead bags and putting each in an Altoid gum tin. It made it very easy to search for, locate and pick up a bead for each circumstance. I am imagining that I will make a stand up easel for all the various building along main street.

The stitching continues

I wonder when the freezers will be delivered. I am getting hungry. I love the old Victorian house look.

Back to the ice cream shoppe

The colors are just yummy!! Pinks, blues and such. Everyone is so ready for spring. There are chairs and table with an umbrella in front of the shop. Oh - - the DQ shoppe just opened around the corner.... spring is almost here.

Market 2010 Report

So, last Friday my market goodies arrived. I was so thrilled. We have Lizzie Kate spring fob and 3 chick design. I also have Praiseworthy Stitches Easter design. It does look a bit interesting when it comes to finishing. I also have the new Belle Soie silks. I love working with silk. I have Just Nan's new bunny WhimZi. Then there is the bed looking pillow deal. That will be made up with a LHN blanket so that I can put my scissors to bed at night. What a hoot!
